What are your deadlines?

Vacation Scheme (Spring and Summer): 28 December 2017

Training Contract: 30 April 2018

Do you recruit on a rolling basis?

We review applications on a rolling basis so you will receive the Critical Reasoning test link within 6 weeks of submitting your online application form.  However, Assessment Days will not take place until early 2018 once applications have closed.

When can I apply?

We accept applications from candidates in their penultimate year of a law degree or final year of a non-law degree. Graduates may apply at any time.

Do you take into consideration mitigating circumstances for academics results?

Yes, we take all mitigating circumstances into account when reviewing application forms.

Do you give feedback to candidates who have been unsuccessful?

Unfortunately, due to the high levels of applications we receive, it is not possible to provide feedback at the application stage. However, we are able to provide feedback to candidates who are unsuccessful after an assessment day.

I have a disability or health condition which means I require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Who should I contact?

Vacation Schemes

How many vacation scheme places do you have a year?

Spring Vacation Scheme – approximately 10 places

Summer Vacation Scheme – one, 2-week schemes with 15 places

Can I apply to both the vacation scheme and training contract?

You cannot apply to both the vacation scheme and training contract. You can only apply for one. However, successful candidates on our vacation schemes are assessed for a training contract whilst they are with us.

How many training contracts do you offer a year?

We offer 18 training contracts per year.


Do you run any schemes for first year students?

Yes, we have an insight day for first year students held at our London office. For more information and application details, check the ‘Meet Us’ page of the website.

Do you have a preferred GDL and LPC provider?

Our preference is to send all of our future trainees to BPP Law School to complete their GDL and/or LPC. We do consider requests if future trainees ask to study with another provider outside London.  Candidates who apply and have already completed their GDL and/or LPC at another provider are not at a disadvantage in the recruitment process.

Do you offer ad hoc work experience?

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to offer ad hoc work experience.

Do you recruit non-law students?

We recruit approximately 50% now-law students each year.
